CWLA Board Succession and changes.
Tim will be moving to Lakeville sometime in 2025. Tim will help CWLA through the spring activities, dues collections and harvesting.
There will need to be a new treasurer. Accounting software is ZOHO - free web based software. Michele is open to being the treasurer.
Need to update the database as home ownership transitions; watch on Beacon.
CWLA google drive has all of the documents saved.
Need someone to take over the relationship with the harvesting/chemicals; including the permits, etc. Could be a board member or a volunteer who is interested in helping with the harvesting.
Would like to increase the board membership to nine people. Individuals that have expressed interest: Jeff Olson and Andrew Scott. Goal to invite new members to begin in the spring.
Consider a Vice Chair for spring 2024 who would be interested in becoming the future board chair. Keith would prefer to step into a board chair seat versus Vice Chair.
Action: spring 2024 - create bylaws with term limits.
Follow up discussion on Limnopro items from last month.
Cannon Rivers Watershed Joint Powers Organization is the recipient of the grants. They select the lakes to get funding.
Motion/Second/Approval to move forward with Limnopro as our lake association partner.
Motion/Second/Approval to spend up to $7,000.00 for Limnopro to do a Diagnostic Survey and Lake User survey.
Get a proposal for Limnopro for the chemical treatment for summer 2025 for Diquat.
Tim will handle communication with Limnopro and work on permits.
Additional steps to move forward:
Begin water quality testing in spring of 2025. Need to start process in the spring. Estimated cost $400.00.
